STUDENT DATA
At the commencement of the project, we decided to gather data about the children's perceptions about writing in order to make comparison at the conclusion of the project. The project aimed to develop student enthusiasm for writing. This was collected via a simple survey.
The data collection indicated that, generally speaking, our students were not as enthusiastic about writing as we would like. In all years levels, boys were were significantly less enthusiastic about writing than girls. This then caused our final results to indicate that in all year levels, less that half the cohorts actually enjoyed writing.
Our results are displayed in the gallery below:

Further Data Collection
Further to this initial data we created Teacher Annotation Notebooks that gathered data on students' progress. We used Writing Frameworks, Student Goal Tracking Sheets and Teacher Annotations (TAN) . We provided students with Feedback that assisted them to move on to their next goal.
Below are our Writing Frameworks, samples of tools used in the TAN and supporting photographs.
