- Coachees Survey: Teacher perceptions of the teaching of writing at TSAC and student success.
- Check in with coaches and identify coachees to keep on the bus and others who might need to get off until the next loop.
- Make teachers who want to proceed with the LNCA accountable for their progress (preparation and follow up)
- Grow enthusiasm for LNCA and coaching
- Time to collaborate - LNCA meetings, providing breakfast for teachers, we will further ask a teacher each week to share something they are doing during their Writing time that works.
- Build capacity (through gradual release of responsibility model) - Attention to attitudes, beliefs and perceptions, valuing the expertise of others, true respect.
- Open up coaches classroom for observations
- Keep Leader informed.
- Develop Collaborate Evernote for teachers.
- Research Best Practice Writing and plan training for teachers.
- Introduce 6+1 Traits to staff (PD) - begin to use with students
- Train teachers on use of Writers Notebooks
- Collaborate and develop understanding about best approaches to 1:1 conferencing
- Goal 1: To implement and develop metalanguage for writing.
- Goal 2: To provide verbal and written feedback to students on their writing. (Clear quality criteria and writing goals)
